Some updates:

TRIVIA: I continue to host Reel Fun Movie Trivia at Alamo Drafthouse Indianapolis on the first and third Sunday of every month. All original questions. Prizes include movie passes, food coupons, and movie swag. Come alone or with a team. I’ll also be returning as Trivia Guest of Honor to the InConjunction science fiction/fantasy/gaming convention from July 10-12. Interested in a one-of-a-kind trivia event for your group or organization? Touch base with me.

PLAYWRITING/PRODUCING: SiteLines Indy/Two First Names Productions will be offering an encore of “Going Solo or Another Song That Isn’t About Danny Koppell,” my collaboration with singer/songwriter Cara Jean Wahlers, at the Chatterbox Jazz Club on Aug. 30. Tickets on sale soon. Other projects percolating that I hope I can announce soon. And I’m working on a new piece but there’s no telling how long that will take. Inquiries are most welcome from potential productions about my other plays. You can find most of them on the New Play Exchange. If you don’t have access there, feel free to jot me a note. Happy to share.

ARTS JOURNALISM: In addition to postings here at louharry.com, I also contribute to the national site Theatrecriticism.com and elsewhere when the stars align. I’m currently serving as vice president of the executive committee for the American Theatre Critics Association where I also serve on it’s New Play Committee and Conference Committee. I also have a book review piece coming up in the journal of the International Association of Theatre Critics.

GAME HOSTING: For more than three years, I’ve been hosting Game Night Social at the Garage Food Hall in Indianapolis every Tuesday from 6-9. I rotate a selection of about 75 games for folks to borrow and play and am happy to teach just about any of them. I’ll also be teaching games at the aforementioned InConjunction convention as well as at WhosYerCon in September. I’m also available to host game events for fundraisers and private events. Touch base if interested.

FILM WRITING: I continue to write periodically for Midwest Film Journal. https://midwestfilmjournal.com/author/lou-harry/

TRAVEL WRITING: I continue to write travel pieces for Indianapolis Monthly magazine. The latest took me to to Grand Rapids for ArtPrize and the Meijer Gardens.

OTHER JOURNALISM: I continue to work full-time at the national office of the Society of Professional Journalists, where I edit Quill magazine and manage SPJ’s awards programs for student and professional journalists.
