Just a quick update to let you know what’s been happening.

On the tabletop game front, Gen Con — the Super Bowl of board game conventions — is done and my round-up of the best new games I found there can be found here. I’ve been doing this hunt — first for IBJ and now for Indianapolis Monthly — since, I think, 2008. And I love it every year.

For other game reviews, my most recent Roll ‘Em column on movie-related board games for Midwest Film Journal is here (with another on the way soon). And I’ll be adding more gaming content here on my site shortly.

As for films, I had some thoughts about “13: The Musical.” That column can be found here.

Prefer books? I interviewed Tess Gunty about her debut novel, “The Rabbit Hole” here.

And my editing work continues for Quill, the magazine of the Society of Professional Journalism. Much of that content can be found here.

On the theater front, a full announcement will come soon. Just make it a point to hold a day in the Oct. 13-16 range open. Stay tuned.

And thanks for checking in.
